Cormorant

The black and white bird is quite common around Lake Victoria - and they nest in colonies around the lake shore, in trees and on rocks. They are fish-eaters, catching the prey by diving from the surface.

After fishing, cormorants go ashore, and are frequently seen holding the wings out in the sun.
